I hold a PhD in Political Science from the University of Notre Dame. Starting this fall, I will be an assistant professor in the Department of Political Science at SUNY Plattsburgh. I work at the intersection between comparative politics and legal studies, with a regional focus on Western Europe.
My research examines the conditions for the effective judicial prosecution of political corruption and organized crime, specifically focusing on the prosecution of Italian political corruption. In addition, my research focuses on the interaction between party systems and judicial behavior on constitutional courts. Outside of the European context, my research also explores the effect of interest group litigation on the U.S. Supreme Court decision-making process.
